WKU only -10. I'd be all over that if I were a betting man...You guys are going to kill us. Our defense regressed and we have little to no offense.

WKU is not without its struggles, we saw improvement against Charlotte but we are nowhere near last years team.

I doubt we cover that. I'm expecting our 12 year old coach to go uber conservative since we're playing on the big bad mean old road and we'll look like the same team that almost lost to UTEP.

I'll be thrilled if we get out of Norfolk with a win but I certainly don't expect it.

Dahbeed, I'm hoping the UTEP games was an aberration. I know the disaster in Champaign was the worst WKU performance in recent memory but I know Charlotte is FCS caliber (we're not far off) but it was inspiring to see a game over by half. If we win in Norfolk by a good margin we might have a decent season after all. I don't know what to expect. I know ODU has been a major disappointment to their following. I am hoping for a easy Topper win but have my hopes on hold.

If we complete some passes this might be a game. That's a big "if" though.

Franko, I hope you're on the right track and that's what I'm hoping for myself. But this guy hasn't been around long enough for me to know what he'll do next. Do I go on his 3rd grade pee wee playcalling the first 5 games or go by a 1 off on homecoming week?

I brought up something on the Scout board. I was wondering if the Funeral Director has been calling the game to please his boss, Sanford. Dude is a former wide receiver and they are the biggest prima donnas on the field. I can't believe he's wanting to go off tackle left every single first down. The play calling opened up with lots of swing passes on first down last week. If we can do that it will open up that damn off tackle left Sanford is so freaking enamored with. Plus when you put it in the hands of guys with speed good things can happen.

I'm afraid he'll go conservative because 'we're on the road' and that'll keep a home team hungry for a win in the game. That's what happened at UTEP. Once you keep them in the game then you better pray they miss field goals like what happened in El Paso. Jump on them early and get them in here we go again mode.

I've liked Lucky but never really my boy. I was hoping he and Jernighan could have picked up from Taywan and Nick. But Jernighan never knows where the first down marker is. Runs 9 when 10 is needed.

I've loved what I saw out of X from the first practice I've watched him in. But that's not real game. He doesn't have the separation that Taywan had but he's such a lanky tall target and I thought had good hands. He did in practice anyway.

But he and Lucky both have had too many drops. They've had the carrot of starting all year. Now they're seeing the stick to show you can't be dropping thrown balls right in your hands. I expect both to still contribute as the year goes on though. Mike seemed really comfortable with X earlier in the year.

Get the ball into Kylen Towner's hands in any way possible. The dude is simply a playmaker.

His problem in the past has been it bouncing out of his hands. But if he can be reliable in that aspect that double or maybe triple move he made last week was downright silly. I watched it multiple times. That db is still backpedaling.

He can be huge for us the rest of this year for sure.

So was Lucky benched last game? I don't remember seeing him out there at all...Also for tonight's game is Brown available? Losing him is not good for our defense...

Back to game I have no idea to expect, I would hope we could build upon last game but so far this season who knows what team will show up in my guess what will be a hostile env. tonight...

Why the hell didn't he kick the field goal from the 15yd line take the damn pts and take the lead on the road. At this point in time I hate our coach's decision making.
