While the congresswoman was directing her comments toward women, to become less inviting also means to have respect for oneself. There then is one of many problems of American society. Few people have respect for themselves or others. Few are truly men and women of honor and integrity. Few know how to cope well. Just a thought.

I don't think anyone is denying that men should be more disciplined in public with women no matter how they dress AND men should not feel like they get the green light to paw at a woman because of how she's dressed. The issue is that there will ALWAYS be some small minority of people who will want to do bad things to you just because they want to.

Just one point that seems to be missing here. Don't a large percentage of rapes have little to do with sex...but rather power?

Lots of women who most of you would deem as not attractive, or not in the wrong place or not wearing something provocative or not drunk, end up getting raped too.
