Just to ask them if Trump sent them a letter or called. Who gives a ****?! While I appreciate the notion of any president to do so, this is a private matter not a political talking point. It’s disgusting. I really don’t understand why they’re doing this to prove he’s a liar, we knew he was a liar since his crowd size claim. They’re not proving anything except the lows in which they’re capable of stooping to.
RE: MSM needs to stop dragging out Gold * families
Somebody from the WH called the media on where to find the widow Johnson knowing full well that the Congresswoman have been part of the extended family. I think Trump set it up so that he can start a new argument. Congresswoman Wilson is also grieving since she considered the dead soldier as a son to her. She mentored him since he was a very young age.

Bullsh*t, they only follow up on things they think can hurt him. They're activists, not journalists.
He said he was the only President to ever call these families... an outlandish, easy to verify comment. If he could keep his mouth shut, then this is a non issue.

Defenders such as this guy are either 100% trolls or are operating some type of parody account. Nobody can purposefully be this far off the reservation.

He said he always tries to call, unlike other presidents. Obama didn't call Kelly, so technically he's right.
I agree that he shouldn't, as Ben Shapiro put it, step on every land mine, but the media is always looking for something to deflect away from good news for President Trump, particularly this week when it was an overwhelmingly good week for President Trump, and a horrific one for the dems.
1) Raqqa falls
2) Comey drafts documents to not reccommend charges before even interviewing Clinton
3) Clinton/Uranium One
4) Stock market continues to set all-time highs
But no, they make this the headline. Oh, and Richard Spencer.
Pathetic.

RE: MSM needs to stop dragging out Gold * families
It's amazing how different warfare is today than it was in the 70s and prior decades. The U.S. has so few casualties in these contemporary conflicts that the POTUS can personally write letters and call these families personally. This was unheard of in previous decades. Nixon, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Roosevelt etc never did this. How could they back then when body counts were so much higher?
Despite the cruelty of war, it's amazing to me how differently we view casualty rates when we are engaged in armed conflict. As terrible it is to see any U.S. soldier KIA/MIA, warfare as a U.S. soldier is a whole late safer than it used to be.
Bottom line is this: conversations between the POTUS and the Gold Star families should remain private. Trump shouldn't toot his horn over contacting these families, eavesdropping congress people shouldn't be sharing these interactions with the world and the media SURELY should be minding their own fvcking business and not creating controversy out of tragedy.
It's UFB why people are making news out of these tragedies.

Even members of gold * families want their 15 min of fame. Either that or they are lashing out in pain at anyone they feel is responsible. Again, IMHO it should remain private when there are convos between a POTUS and a gold star family.
