Parsons Will Treat Home Games Like Road Games
Per Calkins Tweet:
Quote:Chandler Parsons on booing: "It's tasteless. ... I'll treat home games like road games if that's the way it's going to be."
The Griz spent $94M on Parsons. He was the tenth man off the bench last night.

Someone should tell Chandler than Memphis doesn't like overpaid pretty boys.

Booing him is pretty tacky. Sure his contract is awful, but we should boo Wallace for that, not Parsons.

Booing him is petty. Like Hasseltine said on the air last night, he's one of our guys now, like it or not.
Him clapping back is the worst way he could've responded.
Both sides need a reset. All it'll take is one great performance, and he's one of ours. This Saturday against the Warriors would be as good of a time as any.

Jerry Lawler got booed. He worked his heiny off until the fans loved him.
Parsons is being a little punk. He should have just gave a vanilla response about earning respect and proving himself.
His Instagram posts probably were as responsible for the boos as the contract.

Agreed about his response. Just showed he still doesn't "get it" quite yet. Playing here is a little different. This city has loved everyone from Matt Barnes to Birdman to Lance Stephenson. Just show some heart.
Parsons' pretty boy persona is definitely not what we're used to, but if he just keeps his mouth shut and plays his ass off, the city would embrace him just like they have the other guys.

I agree with Lat for once - it's a new day! But Parsons wasn't the only one complaining about the booing.
Parsons, Conley, Gasol and Fizz can complain about the booing once. Now they need to stop. I don't boo the good guys, but paying fans can do whatever they want. Parsons, Conley, Gasol and Fizz need to quit telling paying customers how to behave, IMO.
Ironic thing is Parsons is moving around great. Much better than at any time last year. Give him a couple of months at 15-20 minutes a night, and let's see what we can salvage of his deal.

I thought he was pretty agile also. Only a couple of times did he pass up open perimeter shots for a drive/kick kind of play. I think he's still a little shy to try to do what we got him to do. As for the booing on missed free throws, well, many of our main guys bricked some also. Once a couple of shots go in for Chandler, the booing will quickly be replaced by cheers.

He honestly looked really good on D. As far as the boos, if he plays well, he will be the most cheered on the team as evidenced by his made 3. People want so bad for him to be good they are that much more disappointed when he fails.

Mike Miller was a pretty boy. To an extent so was Ren. But they didn’t act like it on the court and Memphis fans loved them.

The booing was a little much, but we're all tired of cheering on an overpaid player who hasn't shown much of a desire to improve and contribute.
Easy way to fix this is to give us something to cheer about. Or you can tell Kendrick that you'll beat his ***. Memphis fans love that, too.

Chancun declaring something as tasteless is a bit much.

Reaction to the booing has been really interesting today. Grizz media pretty much 100% rallied around Parsons.
Grizz twitter, on the other hand, was much more even. Many telling Chandler to quit whining and hoop.

i sit in a pretty fiesty section of all season ticket holders ,there were no boos coming from our section, so i imagine there were 50 boos or less in FedExForum, the best thing to do is ignore them and play on.
