Who's thinking of driving up to game this weekend? Going Fri & hotel overnight or driving Sat morn & hotel overnight then? I'm debating going but don't want to go by myself. Do we still have tickets or have we returned ours?

I’m pretty sure I’m going and bringing one or two more. I haven’t bought tickets yet. My plan was to drive up Saturday, sleep there, and return Sunday morning.

Shorter drive up for me on Saturday morning, then likely spend the night because of the evening kick.

I really wanted to make this trip. My parents live in Charlotte. Sadly, I cannot make it. Too many plans with my family that will keep us in Alabama.

what is the best way to get tickets?
I saw that there is an alumni function before the game that possibly had tickets. I don't think getting tickets will be a problem but was curious on the best way.

Unless they expect a ton of people for homecoming I would guess get them at the stadium & ask for seats in visitor's section.

UAB has already returned its allotment to Charlotte. If you're going to make the drive up there, I would call Charlotte about availability and try secure tickets beforehand.

The Alumni society has some tickets (see the link above).

You get 2 free with a "yes" RSVP to the pre-game party at Boardwalk Billy's which is a sports bar on a lake less than a mile from the stadium - in between the closest hotel and the stadium. It may be the team hotel - the Hilton. More are tickets are available (to party attendees I presume since you'll have to show up for them to give you your tickets) for $15 each - there is a link on that page for reserving those as well.

Update - looks like the NAS is out of tickets - they closed down their RSVP form.

I was at their first FBS game vs. Georgia State.

They won, but former Blazer Bobby Baker was a one man defensive highlight reel that nearly got GA State the win - 2 pick offs and a fumble recovery.

I got my ticket online, I assume for those driving you'll be going to the bar & grill that the Alumni are for the pregame? Also where's everyone staying hotelwise? I assume there'll be a hotel I could get a room at for the night when I get up there.

I'm staying at the University Place Hilton. It seems fairly convenient to the stadium. I bought tickets in section 130 online at the official site.
