I know a few administrative folks at UofL and that sounds pretty in-line with what they've told me. I know a couple media types too that have spoken about his bullying towards them. Also it's hard to argue with the coach oversight issues when you have Pitino to lean on...IDK I just feel like this was the right move. It's a hard one but sometimes you gotta knock the walls down to get the right floorplan in place.

Btw, new AD Tyra has gone over Adidas deal and said today, everything was on the up and up. Totally fine and appropriate.

Not surprising. I don't think Jurich was inherently crooked. I just think he didn't have as clean of hands as people seem to argue.

The guy that drives to work every day is a good driver. If he gets pulled over for speeding he's still a good driver but he's still getting that ticket.

How many evaluations did the University offer TJ before they fired him? Any letters in his file asking him not to be a bully? What a Shyte show this BoT is.

If Postel would have come forward with these reasons at the press conference after his termination he probably wouldn't be getting as much heat as he is now. If he hadn't conducted a smear campaign through the media using outright lies he probably wouldn't be getting as much heat as he is now. He has brought the criticism on himself. Postel needs to realize that you aren't always going to get along with everyone you work with but you still have to find a way to work together. The fate of Jurich should have fallen to the next President & not to an Interim.

Unfortunately scandal #3 happened while he was in charge. It would have been even more damaging to let it float until a new president is named. All signs are pointing to Postel staying btw.

Firing Pitino isn't letting it float. If you're going to fire Jurich then do it the right way. Don't use the CJ to run a smear campaign using lies & misinformation. Don't come out to the press conference afterwards & not answer any questions about it & deny any accountability. He took the chickenshit route. To claim that your going to bring integrity back to the university you first must display some yourself. I don't disagree with firing Jurich, I condemn the way it was done. There were several roads that led to this result & he took the worst one. An easy example would be saying "the UofL has had multiple scandals under your watch that has damaged our reputation" & then fire him with or without cause. Why come out with bs about the Adidas deal? Why lie about not making the offer to Pitino?

If Postel is named the president full time, God help us, I think that you will continue to see a decline in season ticket renewals & in donations. The man is a weasel & has no business being in the presidents office. We'll be headed for future scandals. It's time to bring people in from outside & to stop promoting from within, you can't "clean house" that way.

Speaking of yearly evaluations, guests who just had one in June. You guessed it, Tom Jurich. It's rumored that Tom got high marks from interim president POStel (I agree this should be the new spelling of his name), when it becomes public I can see this damaging the university claims in the lawsuit. Yet another example of weasel POStel piss poor leadership.
