And from the Memphis Madness reports, more talented than some folks want to admit - and more committed to being a team too.
And from those reports, bigger, faster & more talented top to bottom than last year, but still picked by conference coaches to finish 9th. I think we're better, much better but likely won't contend for the conference title...but we could be a tough out at home to ruin someone who might be.

We look okay, we should go undefeated through the non conference and win maybe 5 or 6 in league and get one wtf win at home which will be the shockers this year.

The scouting report on ECU is let Lebo coach. That ought to do it.

Undefeated during non-conference? No chance. We will likely lose to Rutgers, Charlotte, and UNCW.

RE: Scouting report on your team
Best starting 5 in the conference and best of the Mick Cronin Era
Scoring at every position
Will be a defensive force as usual with Washington being the only possible liability
Clark will do everything
Good three point shooting... Length and athleticism at the 2-5.
All five starters could average double figures.
Cumberland and Evans could each put up huge numbers from the wing.
If Broome is as advertised, this starting 5 is top 5 good.
Bench is relatively inexperienced. Should be talent there but not need to find roles for everyone early.
Jennifer gives them a solid backup PG with the ability to run the team for extensive periods of time.
Brooks and Scott both showed flashes last year...if they both step up this team should have a pretty good bench.
Need a couple freshman to step up and spell the Cumberland / Evans spots.
This UC team should be loaded and UC fans are rightfully excited.

RE: Scouting report on your team
Here is my attempt at an HONEST take on ECU this season.
There are a lot of unknowns on this year's ECU team. Mainly because we have SO many new faces, and a few of the returners didn't see major minutes last year.
In my opinion, we have 3 proven, AAC caliber players that will see mega-minutes.
BJ Tyson (G) - Had an incredible freshman season. The past 2 seasons, he has struggled with injuries, and has also been asked (out of necessity) to play outside of his natural position. If we let him play exclusively at SG... I think there is a good chance he has a GREAT senior year. With the emergence of Kentrell Barkley as a star in the league, defenses might stop keying on Tyson so much, giving him some room to breathe and produce.
Kentrell Barkley (G/F) - The best player on the team, hands down. Does it all.
Jeremy Sheppard (G) - Finally a TRUE point guard at ECU. We hadn't had one since Miguel Paul left. He had an outstanding freshman season, and we can't wait to see him grow and develop in year 2.
We now seem to have depth in the backcourt, with the additions of:
Isaac Fleming (G) - Transfer from Hawaii, where he was a productive scorer for the Warriors. Sat out last season due to transfer rules.
Shawn Williams (G) - Best shooter on the team. A "score-first" point guard. Had to sit out last season due to NCAA eligibility issues.
Both of these guys have been with the program for a year, and have had time to be in the weight room and in practices. I expect them to be ready to produce right away.
From there... it's a CRAPSHOOT.
I don't think we have a single frontcourt offensive weapon over 6'5". (And that is only when we slide Barkley to the 3 or 4)...
Jabari Craig (F/C) - Highly touted 4**** player out of HS. Has not lived up to his potential. Backed up Andre Washington last season and barely played at all. Appears to have zero value on offense, and is a foul-out liability every game. Seems to be a capable shot blocker.
Usman Haruna (F/C) - 6'11" JUCO transfer. Appears to be a shot blocker with little offensive game. Runs the floor well.
Dimitri Spasojevic (F) - 6'8" Serbian player with range to 16 feet (per Lebo). Fairly polished offensively in the paint, but needs to get stronger.
WILD CARDS
Seth LeDay (G/F) - 6'7" Transfer from Virginia Tech. STILL waiting on NCAA to say whether or not he's eligible this season. Could be a factor for us, if eligible. Maybe even a starter.
Aaron Jackson (G/F) - 6'6" Graduate Transfer from Akron. Only averaged 8.9 minutes per game over his career at Akron. Averaged 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds a game.
Raquan Wilkins (G) - Long, 6'5" SG... had a disappointing freshman year at ECU after being our highest rated recruit last season. Need to see more from him.
KJ Davis (G) - Another long, 6'5" SG... our highest rated recruit from this offseason. We'll see.
I don't expect anybody else to contribute. I need a beer.
