Tigers vs Houston by the numbers
Looks as if it should come down to who is more protective of the ball. Houston is mid pack in most of the statistic and has a few areas which they are among the best. Protecting the QB, interceptions and kick off returns.

Tigers have got to protect the ball especially in the passing game and find a way to rush the QB. The emotional roller coaster WILL be a factor. If the Tigers come out hot and UH gets behind after last week's drubbing by Tulsa then the Tigers should be able to take care of business. If the Tigers come out flat after the emotional high moving to the top 25 after beating their third straight top 25 team in two years and allow Houston to get out front or even stay in the game early then it could be an up hill battle all day.

RE: Tigers vs Houston by the numbers
Navy's opponents (thus far this season) rank this way for team rushing defense:
FIU-81
Tulane-94
Memphis-97
Air Force-119
Cincy-120
Tulsa-130
(All these are ESPN numbers).

With half of the season gone, is Navy such a good rushing team because of their schedule? Is our defense so bad because Navy is on our schedule?
Just staying awake after lunch...

When a team hangs 400 yards rushing on you your rushing ratings will tank.

RE: Tigers vs Houston by the numbers
The Tigers have played 3 top 10 rated offenses, two in the top 40 and what was at the time one of the top 10 in FCS at the time we played them. Many of them are still ranked that highly.

The best offense we have left on the schedule is SMU. I think we will see our defensive numbers greatly improve for the rest of the season.

No, but that would make for an interesting contrast

And if we can't run on tulsa's last rated defense...
