An undefeated USF-UCF matchup in Orlando on Thanksgiving weekend is everything we're hoping for? This was supposed to be our marquee rivalry, the big growth rivalry that we can sell to ESPN and as part of our P6 push, a game that should have between 5 and 10 million watching, a casual fan game where tickets are going on Stubhub for $300-$400?

I'm just visualizing it now. We will likely at that point be one of only 3 or 4 undefeated teams in the country. Both USF and UCF will be top 15. the Iron Bowl just lost a ton of luster with Auburn losing to LSU last night.

RATINGS! BUTTS IN SEATS! THE NEXT BIG THING! That is and what always has been what USF and UCF represented, the new generation of power past the old rivalries, a chance for fans to get in on the ground floor and support something truly special in our modern era. The conference and ESPN will make sure we're the only thing on TV that game, and you better believe it's going to be a night game, 8 PM kickoff, most likely on ESPN or ABC.

Aside from everything Navy has done to benefit this conference, and the wonderful resurgence of Memphis, SMU, Tulane, and Houston, this rivalry was supposed to be one of our cornerstones, and now it's shaping up to be the biggest stage this conference has ever had. We're on a quest to force ESPN to recognize us as a power conference, and to make them say "no" to our labeling if they really want to turn us down.

This is our big sell. UCF you better be undefeated when we come to Oviedo having won all of our games, this conference damn well needs us to sell it right now. I'll be disappointed if you don't show up so you can take your 7th loss in nine games. The Taurus will conquer you again!

I think UCF may be walking into a buzz saw at Navy next Saturday

We will have to see. Obviously the "transitive property" is not always applicable, but UCF has performed better against the mutual scheduled teams. Navy is more of a ground attack, which is UCF's strength on defense.

Possibly but nothing I saw yesterday caused tons of concern. A poor Memphis defense slowed their offense and our offense, frankly, is going to score 40 or more no question

It's great for the AAC that this game is at UCF this year.

Neither team wears red so it would have looked terrible in Tampa.

Would you put money that Clemson loses to Syracuse? They won't be undefeated.

This is the first time I've ever been rooting for USF... and it feels dirty. I was genuinely pissed when I checked on the score and you all were neck and neck with Cincy halfway through the 2nd quarter.

You need to fix yourself then. This is what the BCS era has done to us. I know many will not believe this, but I never want Boise, and previously BYU to win a game.

4 Top 10 teams lost on the road to mediocre teams-other Top 25 teams Texas Tech and Navy lost too on the Road although not to mediocre teams. UH loses to Tulsa on the Road. The Road can be cruel-but go ahead and pencil that UCF-USF game into your calander but keep an eraser handy

I just looked it up and the record for that stadium in 48,453 against Miami. If both teams are undefeated, is it possible to squeeze more into the stadium, or is that pushing it too much?

The max number has decreased as UCFAA has added club sections,a cabana section, and seatbacks to the mix. I think max capacity is now like 44-45K. Which is a little more appropriate for UCF's fan base right now. And, I'm not sure your Miami number is the record. I seem to remember the Texas game (2007), which was the stadium debut, was up over 51K.

UCF releases actuals? Please let us know your actual attendance so we can compare apples to apples. We had loads, though. Loads.

I think Joey Knght said actually was in the mid to high 30s. UCF looked pretty full, and it's pretty easy to judge in that scenario since it is close to capacity. Attendance might have been close to the same for both schools.

38,121 according to JK. We won't really know for sure who had more. Either way, it's not enough for both teams.

Our announcer has always been very close to actual. We announced 40,500 and it was exactly that inside the stadium. It was packed once everyone was in.

The USF pictures look like 37K to me

Best case scenario for the conference is Memphis and USF or UCF winning out with the winner of the AAC Championship game, with a one loss against an undefeated, to a New Years bowl. That would be invaluable publicity for the conference and the P6 movement.

Tough turnaround game for Memphis at Houston this week. If Memphis gets by that one I believe it will happen.

Still a very long way to go for that to happen.
