RE: Toledo defense showing encouraging signs
once again, I did not see many - if any - receptions to the side of the field that Hollman patrols. Strangely, he seemed to be out of the game for quite a few series, because I always look to see where he is at. Also seeing a lot of potential in Clark. Don't feel so good about Blue (who is more of a hitter than a pass defender) and Mathis. Even the guy that had two interceptions last week against EMU is giving a lot of room out there to receivers he is covering. But we are playing a lot of guys in the backfield and they are getting better and better. Kudos to our DB coach, Poteet. His experience in the NFL is showing. Would like to hear from BVD27 on his thoughts of the DB's.

Line does a great job on running plays, but did not get a lot of pressure on the CMU QB. I wonder if that was by design. He was likely more dangerous running or getting loose to throw outside the pocket than he was standing in the pocket and throwing. Tough day to try to pass anyway you look at it - same for Woodside.
