That might be true for EMU, but for some of us it’s the opposite. No P5 school wants to see NIU or Toledo on their schedules and they know exactly who we are.

This line of thinking is exactly the problem, you are trying to lump schools in the past that had 2K at each game to schools that averaged 20K+.....that's 10x the attendance. Huge difference. Kansas is B12, Rutgers is B10, neither are OU or UM.

And as utpotts said, plenty of MAC schools have whooped up on the B10 in the last 10 years, they know those schools.
