I have no idea why Dabo was letting Bryant play when it was obvious half a dozen plays in that he couldn't move and then got a concussion for his trouble.

Lot happened in the last minute after I quit watching. 1 yd punt. Cal going for the TD with 2 seconds left in the half. Bit of the pirate back at him.

Maybe there is something to Friday the 13th. The Cal QB has lightning in a bottle right now. When he needs a play he gets it. He just passed for 20+ yds into double coverage and dropped it into the basket over double coverage. WTF?! The TD to the end the half was another "WUHHHH?" play.

Whatever contagion Tennessee let loose in the 4th quarter in Atlanta seems to have made its way to Berkeley.

Stick a fork in the Cougars. I don't know whether this is good or bad mojo for Georgia Tech beating Miami this weekend. I would have liked to have come in under the radar because GT has a history of playing terrible against both Mark Richt and in Coral Gables. Coral Gables has become the house of horrors that Charlottesville was for the 90's and 00's. But apparently we're the trendy pick this week. I've heard ESPN gush over GT more than they have ... uhh .... since the '14 Orange Bowl. Which makes me greatly uneasy. Because Paul Johnson's M.O. is to flop when you expect something and lay waste to everything when you expect nothing.

27-3 Cal after a ridiculous flip into the end zone. Dude gets hit twice in the air and still nearly sticks the landing.

S'long, Washington State.

I take some small bizarre comfort in knowing some other team got the wrong end of a constant string of fluke luck. Nice to know GT wasn't the only team to draw an anti-powerball this year.

What's been ridiculous are the number of interceptions picked just before they hit the turf.

Well the PAC is still going to be a meat grinder and the only unblemished school left now is Washington.

That could have been UH magic. Babers is a Hawaii alumnus who started his coaching career as a UH graduate assistant and was interested in returning as head coach. It still irks me that during the window of opportunity we had to bring him back (when he was having great success at the FCS level at Eastern Illinois), our former AD opted instead to let Norm Chow continue destroying our program.

Anyway great win for Dino and Syracuse.

I made the comment earlier in the week that while there were no games between ranked teams, there were a lot of ranked teams playing decent opponents on the road. Clemson and WSU were on the road.

#20 NC State 14
Pittsburgh 14
Early 3rd

Florida State 10
Duke 10
Start 4th

This doesn't technically qualify under the normal rules, but I think we can make an exception here. If Duke wins there might be rioting in Tally. Duke has never beaten FSU in football.

"After review, the officials have agreed to do Michigan a favor by ruling that the Indiana player did not have possession of the ball before stepping out of bounds."
