RE: Open Thread - 2017 Football Season - Week 7
BC has better players and a better offensive and defensive scheme than UofL.
Truly much credit to BC and I pray that one day we will be as good. Execution and discipline.
My lament is that y'all will be viewed as Jerry Cooney,

It is what it is.

good win!

Resist the national narrative!

Y'all are a solid team. Better than most!

Stupid that we define you in national media when y'all are solid on your own.

Great win!

My hope for us is a Bowl at this point.

WTF Ted Roof? How many screen plays in a row do you need to defend it?

Paul Johnson is Mark Richt's little *****. No matter what schools are involved. No matter what the teams are. Forever and ever and always.

RE: Open Thread - 2017 Football Season - Week 7
GT is a multi-million dollar exercise in futility. We find ways to lose, will never be near the top again. Miami, Clemson, UGA, VT have either lapped us or soon will.
2008 was awesome. 2009 only had one dark spot. 2010-2013 was just frustrating. 2014 was great. 2015 was wretched. 2016 ended up being a great year. I fear we're back to the doldrums of 2010-2013, where we look good against bad competition and find ways to lose against the good teams.

Ted Roof letting a smoke screen get run on him SEVEN TIMES on the same drive -- for a collective 60+ yards -- is worthy of immediate termination. IDGAS if his son IS on the team.

That was an abortion. Miami let the rocket toss get run on them non-stop for 2 quarters. And GT let the smoke screen get run on them non-stop on the game winning drive. GT couldn't block off tackle to save their life. Miami couldn't pass with accuracy to save their life.

Both teams deserved to lose.

Clemson came in banged up, then lost their starting QB.

Not over yet, but...

No excuse. SU also has folks banged up and not playing. No one cared when SU had to play 5 different QB's in one season. Clemson was just manhandled tonight on both offense and defense. DOME MISTIQUE!

Doesn't Clemson go 3 or 4 deep at every position with 4* recruits? With the way Clemson recruits lack of depth shouldn't be an excuse.

I've been told by Clemson fans their 2nd team is better than our first team....weird they didn't win.

No doubt the dome field advantage is real, and Babers had the offense firing on all cylinders last night, too. Great game by the Orange!

And Clemson didn't catch on to it....VT certainly knows about it

Clemson must have played their 1st team by mistake.

Congrats to Syracuse. I guess after five years in the conference you were bound to accomplish something sometime.

What do you think of that "high school level team", dominating MIGHTY CLEMSON?"
You once said Clemson would always "out athlete" Cuse. Especially since we come from a "recruiting wasteland", with bad players who didnt deserve to play in the sacred Death Valley of Clemson. BTW, I thought you had been hospitalized or something after Cuse beat Clemson, because we didnt hear from you.

And it was all true. Just like Dabo and Venables said after the game....they failed to get Clemson ready for the game and it cost us.

Enjoy your win.
