What is know at this point from this new change in policy by the Boy Scouts.

Girls can join cub scout packs from the next program year. The Cub Scout program year starts in the fall of each year. Local packs are divided up into dens by the age of the youth. 1st graders (Tigers), 2nd graders (Wolfs), 3rd graders(Bears), and 4th & 5th graders (Webelos).
Local Packs will now have to make the decision of do they want to start new Dens at each grade level for girls. Boys and Girl will not be members of the same Den. For a Pack to recharter each year with the Boy Scouts they have to have at least one adult registered for each Den that they have youth registered with the unit in. Also have to have two adults at each Den meeting with one of them being a registered Adult Leader.

As to camping, per the Boy Scout rules, a Cub Scout can only camp at a family campout. Parent or other adult family member has to campout with them. The only exception to this rule is that a Webelos Den can campout as a Den with 2 deep leadership.

With the announcement it was stated that a Girl would be able to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. No details were given on this subject.

Churches have similar rules. As I said, predators target groups like churches and the boy scouts. You have to get training to work with youth in churches.

Yes they are. I know of one adult leader who was removed from a troop for administrating corporal punishment to a youth. Tied a youth of the troop up as punishment. Also my local councils Council Executive was just named the National Director Cub Scouts Boy Scouts of America. From knowing him for the last 8 years I personalty know that he very strict when it comes to these rules.

Same with the Boy Scouts. Every registered Adult is required have Youth Protection Training which has to but updated every two years.

I coached rec girls 9-10Y soccer 12 yrs ago b/c my stepdaughter was playing at that time......I had to bench three whiny travel team arse biatches for a half in the subsequent game b/c they left practice w/o any notification.....

I then had to tell two of the three parents that their kids were no longer on the team due to insubordination and their lack of ability to recognize the issue when they biatched about the benching.....the other parent (who was black btw) gave me serious applause....

at the end of the year party, the remaining parents gave me the "unbreakable clipboard" that I still cherish to this day.....

it's amazing what can happen when you volunteer to help achieve a larger goal and demonstrate discipline via "HUMILITY AND RESPECT"
