Ok.... It's not a slight to yall. These are just poster opinions.
I know its not a slight.. just this board had a pretty good feel on how most fans feel.
I think it will be a great game.

Not to derail the thread, but even though we did have a bad game, we must remember that Southern Miss was without their starting QB. They deserve all the credit in the world for coming into the Alamodome in what was our conference opener, and walking out with the W. If we had played as we expected, our defense especially, the result may still have been the same if USM's starting QB were healthy. Let's give credit where it's due. They did what they needed to do to avoid starting 0-2 in conference, and we now need to do the same in Denton or we'll realistically have no chance of winning the division.

Counted up the predictions just to see. As of Eagleholic's post above, it was UTSA-18, North Texas-19. Maybe that will be the final on-field score?

So I will basically break everything in my house and drink every beer in San Patricio county by the end of our 10th overtime on Sunday at 3am. Wonderful!

If that's the case, you will not remember the end of the 10th OT.

Welcome to my "Thank God Rice has the Fighting Couch Potatoes of Open Week" Picks
Old Dominion @ Marshall: The Thundering Herd takes care of business against the visiting Royals.
Charlotte @ WKU: Another week, another set of Miners (Niners) that the Hills have no trouble Topping.
MTSU @ UAB: I'm still not over the Blazer return bandwagon.
UTSA @ North Texas: Even on the road, the Road Runners won't lose to a second set of Eagles.
UTEP @ Southern Miss: So Miss keeps flying high over the struggling Miners.
Tulane @ Florida International: Tulane, because they can't be as bad as Rice.

MY LINE: Marshall 27-24 I'm trying really hard to not be spooked by Marshall's low output last week.
REALITY SAID: Marshall 35-3 Kind of surprised ODU couldn't score more.
1-0
Charlotte @ WKU 3:30PM CT
MY LINE: WKU 27-17 WKU should be able to get this.
REALITY SAID: WKU 45-14 In one way I am and in another way I am not surprised by this result
2-0
MTSU @ UAB 5:30PM CT
MY LINE: MTSU 27-24 I really feel this is arguably a toss up game but I think MTSU is a little better.
REALITY SAID: UAB 25-23 DAMN... was SO CLOSE to picking this the other way... and I was within the wheelhouse of the final score.
2-1
UTSA @ North Texas 6:00PM CT (ESPN3)
MY LINE: UNT 35-31 I like UNT for some reason.
REALITY SAID: UNT 29-26 About as close as I was thinking, just a little more than I was thinking.
3-1
UTEP @ Southern Miss 6:00PM CT
MY LINE: USM 30-17 I have less faith in UTEP than I do in USM.
REALITY SAID: USM 24-0 Surprised by the shutout..
4-1
Tulane @ Florida International 6:00PM CT
MY LINE: Tulane 35-17 Tulane should romp based on current trends.
REALITY SAID: FIU 23-10 I can't believe FIU could get a double digit win over a FBS team... I can't believe with the way Tulane had been playing they would drop a game like this.
4-2
Can I rebound please.
Fared better here than I did with AAC picks this week

Old Dominion @ Marshall 1:30PM CT (ESPN3) Marshall is on a roll. And ODU isn't.
Charlotte @ WKU 3:30PM CT This one gets ugly early. WKU big.
MTSU @ UAB 5:30PM CT Nope, I don't think UAB can get that lucky 2 weeks in a row.
UTSA @ North Texas 6:00PM CT (ESPN3) UNT beat USM. USM beat UTSA. So it only makes sense that UTSA will beat UNT.
UTEP @ Southern Miss 6:00PM CT Home team wins this one.
Tulane @ Florida International 6:00PM CT Wish FIU could win this one.
Gee thanks MTSU and UTSA!
Even though I had Tulane picked to win, I'm still glad FIU won. Nice OOC win for the conference.

You shouldn't be. Marshall's defense is legit this year, Since giving up 37 at NC State they have only given up 27 in the last 4 games. That would be 0 to Kent State, 21 to Cincinnati (14 garbage points), 3 to Charlotte and 3 to ODU. And we played with 2 2nd stringers today. We had 2 starters banged up and Doc held them out of the game.
Our secondary which was one of if not our worst unit last year is now arguably our most improved and may even be our best unit on the field.

Hey nobody bats 1.000.
What did y'all do... drug Tulane? They had been playing quite well this season. I never saw this one coming. By the way... thanks for ruining my perfect week.
And hey, I'm still in the lead.
