General Parking question for Game Day
Anyone have suggestions on the best bet for non-reserved lots for parking on Saturday? We have a P-Lot pass, but will have two more cars coming down with no passes. First group will be arriving around 8:30 AM, does R2 lot just across Port Republic still have spots that early?

Second car will be arriving around noon/1 PM, which is when it'll be a madhouse I'd imagine. Are the lots over by MLK/South Main the best bet? Just trying to avoid mom & dad having to schlep all the way over from the field hockey lot when they get into town.

I am in P lot and I always tell people to check the parking lot behind Starbucks/Jimmy Johns before going anywhere else. 1pm on Saturday is probably too late, but they could get lucky and and find a spot where someone has left.

lot across from outpost (R10/R11). Check out the lots around Main and Port Rd (C18/C17). They're on the fringe of campus, but very walkable.

RE: General Parking question for Game Day
On days where we have not used my spot to tailgate, I have parked in the Grace Street deck, which I really like given its proximity to a number of things - not the least of which is Cantrell - which is less likely to be saddled with traffic. If youre n'ot looking to tailgate at your car, this is a great spot. Sheltered from the elements too.

By far the closest General Parking to P Lot is R2. Right across Port Republic from the entrance at Bluestone Drive. It's barely a couple hundred yards away.

Thats my favorite General Parking spot, nice walk to Stadium right thru P lot too!
try to get to that one early if you can...its packs quick last time at CGD was there at 600-630 was relatively empty, came back to reload streamers and drinks and it was overflowing by 10am (lot of band and cheerleaders use this lot)

oh and Mr. J's Bagel shop was open early (caught my breakfast for CGD there)
