You can bet on that and likely lose.

An aggrieved player at best has a right to request an arbitration under the collective bargaining agreement.

When they take the field, they do so as a private citizen under personal services contracts to work for a private employer. Too bad, so sad.

First Amendment protections do not apply to our lovable 1%er freedom fighters in this situation....private employment under contract is all about personal decisions and the consequences that follow.

What, an NFL player is going to file a lawsuit so he doesn't have to stand for the Anthem? 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

NFLPA.

Bless you. A lawsuit. That's rich. The NFLPA is not going to court to fight that fight no matter how kewl you and the Southpark goth kids might think that would be.

He hit his head on that surfboard.

was intentional by mum and happened more than once....

I don't see the employees having a leg to stand on. If a workplace requires me to participate in a non religious ceremony as part of my employment, my rights are not being violated

Exactly. They are not being told to sing along. They are told to merely stand like an adult for less than 2 minutes.

An NFL 1%er has 100% more privilege than all of us on this board combined.

They arent protesting for themselves. They are using their platform to stand up for people with no voice. Asking for Americans to be treated like Americans isn't anti American

Oh? Then why weren't they kneeling en masse PRIOR to Trump saying anything?

Of course some players are just kneeling in protest of Trump but the true protest started before Trump was even in office.

I hate that the actual point of the protest has been lost and the attention is on a piece of cloth, a song and now a man

Relative collapse in revenues for the NFL permanently.

Boom! Don't know why this tweet took so long.

Trump challenges NFL tax breaks.

I actually think it's terrifying that he would suggest changing policies just because he disagrees with a protest

Im so glad we have checks and balances in this country

I think its long overdue. It finally woke some people up how major league sports are ripping off taxpayers. Treat them like everyone else.

The Nfl gets the same type of tax breaks a lot of big cooperations get.(including Trump's)

But Trump is basically threatening to punish them with a policy change like some kind of crazy tyrant

The fans have not won yet. Until the NFL actually enforces the policy and benches players that don't stand, it is just talk.

Funny how pointing out the NFL's actual policy and threatening the league's tax breaks changes the NFL's position on this situation.

I'm a Trump supporter and a NFL protest hater, but, he is out of line to threaten policy changes on this.
