Accuracy was ok. He needs to learn how to apply touch to his passes when he is on the run. A few he zipped right to his man unnecessarily, where just a little touch is all he needed.
The ODU receivers dropped a few passes today. I've seen seniors with less composure.
He reminds me of Jimmy Skinner. I think you and I can both agree we would have never wanted Skinner behind center full time.
Was this game ugly for the most part, yep. Was it a win, Uh HuH. Are we 5-1 and only a game from bowl eligibility, we are. Will 99.98% of this fan base ***** more and more, no F'N doubt. I'm just glad my life isn't that so wrapped up into something that I have no control over.

And yet I don't let any of the wins or losses control my life. Is it fun when you win, yes. Do I get angry or upset or let it affect my life in anyway if we don't, nope. Not in my control.
By the way the defense held ODU to less than 200 yards total offense at 197 and we even had the time of possession by 30 seconds at 30:30 to 29:30.
We could be ECU, Cincinnati, San Jose State, UMass, GA Southern or Texas State. Or even Idaho, at least we aren't headed back to the SoCon and IAA next year.

That was Keith Morehouse, WSAZ Channel 3 sports director and the son of the late Gene Morehouse who was the voice of the Thundering Herd and was aboard Southern Airways Flight 932, And Doug Chapman, Marshall running back from 1996-99. Chapman has the 2nd highest all purpose yards in Marshall history behind RB Chris Parker.

Nope he toted the rock, and done it pretty well with 4696 yards at Marshall.

Yes. He must have said "thow" or "thoe it downfield" a thousand times today. LOL! Everything else about his commentary was pretty good. But that was very irritating.

ODU 28
Marshall 24
You won't need a ton, I think 3 points might win it.
3 points was just a little short.

RE: *** Game Thread: Old Dominion @ Marshall ***
Marshall offense once again with flashes of brilliance around a lot of mediocre.
Every good defense gets "had" at least once or twice a season in college football. That's just how it is. Marshall better hope the offense is clicking when that happens.
It's really amazing how the offense will do nothing for 1-1/2 quarters, then zip down the field like it's easy, then be inept 3 more series, then start zipping again.
What bothered me, strictly as a fan of football that wants to see all C-USA teams elevate their level of play and consistency, was that ODU quit once it got to 14-3. ODU absolutely quit defensively. Not that I blame them. The offense sputtered after the first 1-1/2 quarters, and they were on the field a lot in the second half.
As stated earlier, their demeanor reminded me of Marshall in 2016.
That said, Marshall is very, very talented. If Litton plays more consistently, that talent shows. If he doesn't, it only appears occasionally instead.
We could win out, we could lose out, of anything in between.
Also props to the ODU band. They were annoying and that's sorta how they're supposed to be in the visitor's stadium. It was good to see the band make the trip.
