The AP and Playoff Poll are the ones that count, and we won't have a shot until the end of the year. We're not even getting votes right now. Poor showings against Boise, Alabama State, Akron, and NMSU look bad with the voters.

Just a reminder, this USA Today Re-Rank isn't an official poll.

We were getting some votes in the AP Poll last week, but of course since we didn't play this past weekend, we dropped out.

If Troy can have a good showing (meaning a blowout) against USA on national TV Wednesday, then that certainly helps our chances to get some love in the AP poll again. Although I never expect blowouts to occurs between Troy and USA...

On a bye week, Troy received 10 votes in the coaches poll...I'll take that over Myerberg...

I'm not sure the difference between Troy/App/AState is as crazy large as Myerberg makes it out to be.

It's not. I fully expect the StAte-Troy game to be a battle. If Troy played App State, that'd be a battle too.

We can beat either team, but I don't know that we would. Are three of us are roughly on the same level. We'll know more as we all get deeper into conference play. This year we get astate after a cupcake bakeoff with Texas State and a full week to prepare for the red wolves. They were better than us last year, but the outcome would have been a lot closer had we not edged out the conference champs five days before.
