I think they found them in an antique trunk in Silver Springs, Florida. That's where they filmed the Creature From the Black Lagoon horror movies in the 50's.

I asked my wife if she wanted to go downs to the Plains and she Auburn v. UGA. She popped an antacid on the spot at the very thought

Week 7 action
(10-14-2017 02:32 PM)Soobahk40050 Wrote: Since TN expects to lose to Bama, Butch Jones will spend the week on the hot seat, but it will be muted. The hot seat will grow very hot depending on the outcome of the KY game. 3-5 in the SEC + 4 wins OOC is 7-5 overall, with a strong bowl win perhaps giving him another year, since this was a transition year between QBs. 2-6 (with a loss to KY) or especially 1-7 (loss to KY and Vandy) may be too much to overcome. 0-8 would be the first team TN loses 8 games in a season and certainly be the end.
Again, I like Butch as a person and hate to see anyone fired. With Butch, I would certainly expect him to be able to land a MAC job or a decent coordinator job somewhere, mostly so he can recruit for that team, but still hard to root for a firing on a personal level.
Just fire Butch after Bama, solve the problem before it become an issue.
Jones' problem is one I think effects a lot coaches these days; great recruiter but terrible at the nuances of being a head coach at the P5 level. Clock management, halftime adjustments and end game scenarios have escaped him for his entire tenure at UTK. Move over I think he is aware of these deficiencies but either won't or can't hire someone to assist in these areas for reasons that escape me.

SCAR @ UTK - some of you actually think the Vols have something approaching competency, we don't. Cocky wins
Auburn @ LSU - And burn in a close one
Vandy @ Ole Miss - Vandy wins
A&M @ UF - Aggies big
Arks @ Bama - The Death Star rolls on
Mizzou @ UGA - Dawgs big
Vol fans seem a little too down on their team. Makes me nervous.
Part of it is the desire to see Butch completely fail. It will be hard to fire him if he pulls out a 9-3 season. The other part is that the Vols can only out athlete opponents at this point; UTK can easily be out coached.
I think SCAR is even with us talent wise and Muschamp is smart enough just to follow the Dawgs blueprint of simply grinding the game out on the ground.
I hope you're right.
South Carolina's offense is sputtering hard though, our 48 points was very deceptive. 24 were directly off of turnovers, another TD was a fluke last minute drive, and another was after the Hawgs had essentially given up.
If South Carolina can find a way to get up 10-0 or 17-7 early on I can totally see Tennessee just quitting. But the longer it remains even the more the advantage goes to Tennessee.
I hope you're happy Gamecock. It was an ugly game to watch, but SCAR was able to hold on.
Man that was something else. I'll take it though! 5-2 (3-2) is good for us.
