His is the absolute heart and soul of the show and I'm not sure how much longer he's going to want to do it. The preparation, the travel, it would be exhausting for someone half his age. I CANNOT WAIT!!!! I think he'll dress as James Madison again, if it were up to me he sure would.

You going to make it to the tailgate lots this time? lol

Oh yes, lots of smoked meats will be prepared and consumed.

Can we get one of our modern helmets on the game day set? Preferably the white one from Frisco.

Maybe he throws streamers from atop Wilson then zip lines to the quad?

Funny - I had thought about Zip line too. 03-lmfao

But I guess that's a bit risky.

No it should be the classic gold. Or if not at least the purple one. Those are the school colors.

It’s not a look we sport very often these days. Am sure the players prefer a more modern look. Most of the fans also I would assume. Our uniform game is pretty tight these days but the old gold ones from the MM days don’t quite hack it anymore.

The school colors are purple and gold, so that's what should be displayed. The gold helmet they used the last time was from EW's days, not MMs. The one from back in MM's days was gold with the solid purple 'JMU', not the gold 'JMU' with purple outline..

Zip Lines!
Just remember, the man is 82 years old. Nothing too exciting or stressful. I just don't want him tripping or keeling over on national TV..

Something like this could be hilarious. With a dog head on they could easily swap him out with a stunt man and have him do something crazy. Use the secret tunnels. Have "him" zip line across the quad and come out one of the other bluestones. Have Duke Dog chase "him" with a cat head on and "he" scurries up a tree. The fact it supposed to be Lee but is so obviously not would be a riot.

Fine. Then he puts on cat head and then Duke Dog chases him across the quad and up a tree.

If Corso picks 'Nova, while Corso wears the Cat hat, the Duke Dog must give it to Corso doggystyle on the stage.

Yeah so true. That will be hard to beat, especially since it is regarded as one of the greatest CGD Lee Corso moments of all time.

I am not sure it will be as creative as before. I don't think Corso will do anything that could potentially hurt him. This may be one time where he just dons the Duke Dog/or Wild Cat head this time. Though the expectation is to do something big. Perhaps he could dress up as Duke Dog and be on stage with no one knowing and then he reveals himself as he takes off the Duke Doghead.

RE: Corso ideas
Lets get the real life duke dog up there and even just a traditional duke dog head or a wild cat head tease would be just as entertaining. Maybe he can fire a musket into the sky and almost fall out of his seat.

I'd love to see just a classic donning of the Duke Dog head a la clemson, alabama, etc. Would be nice if the real bulldog was walked on stage as part of the teaser before the final commercial break... but a classic ending would be awesome and I imagine a ton more streamers visual in the background than when he was on steps of Wilson.

I'm so glad ESPN took my recommendation for the best way to end the show!

Lee Corso (gawd bless him) is 82. I hope I'm as energetic as he is at that age. He's the straw that stirs CGD, and it's damn near impossible to imagine the show without him. Yet, he's suffered a stroke, and again, he's 82. Should CGD return to JMU for a three-peat, and Corso is no longer part of the broadcast team, how should JMU fan's acknowledge his absence? Corso's pick as Madison and his love for our campus deserves to be remembered and honored.

Simple, with a massive gameday sign that dwarfs the sigma nu one. Hang it from Wilson Hall if needed. Hope that day is far off, and he continues to entertain us all till he retires at the ripe age of 95 against all odds.

That was a gem of a moment. Funny to watch, haha. Take away the guest picker, that was a good moment, not great (great was Corso as James Madison) but that moment will be talked about for many years. The real Duke dog looked so innocently afraid, sad-faced, etc.
