I just discovered that UC plays Savannah St at BB&T arena on Friday at 12noon. I am not sure why there is a game scheduled at Noon on a Friday. UC football plays Temple that evening at 8:00. What is up with that? Crazy schedule for UC.

That is pretty crazy. But...also not a big deal all things considered.

Not our arena. I'd rather sacrifice early season, buy game scheduling if it helps NKU. They're doing us a favor.

NKU has a game that night, need time to change courts, UC doesn't want it to conflict with football game

wonder if this game is gonna be part of that 24 Hour Tip Off Marathon thing they been doing

I'm pumped that this got posted otherwise I would have had no idea. I will absolutely be at this game with my family. Looking forward to it.

I imagine the ratings to not justify placing basketball games during the middle of the day. Schools that hosted games at odd times probably didn't like it either.

I always said that if you want people interested in early season college basketball, host a pre-season NCAA tournament based on last years bracket. Four mini-tournaments, with the winner of each region earning an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Essentially you raise the stakes during the first week of the year and you give smaller schools an outside shot at automatic bid or at least a chance to pick up qualities wins.

Screw it. I'm a vet and I have never been off that day. I call shenanigans!

I'm taking that day off and going to watch some basketball.

Is it just recently that regular season basketball games start in early November?
