Was that in front of the band section, perhaps, and they had gone to the field for pregame?
Your post prompted me to turn to that game. It's 31-0 in 4th quarter, so I'm guessing a lot of people have left. We'd be happy to get what's left.

Tulane eviscerates Tulsa 62-28 (was up 48-7 at the half) to move to 3-2. I mention this because Tulane's coach, Willie Fritz, is a guy whose name was mentioned as a potential Bailiff replacement a few years ago (before Tulane, he was successful at Georgia Southern and Sam houston). Tulane beat Army by 4 at home, so today's game will provide a useful data point to compare the two programs.

In other news:
OU is down late to Iowa State in Norman. I didn't like the Riley hire. He's too green to be running OU's program and too much of a Stoops disciple. OU will likely remain Choke-lahoma for the foreseeable future.
I thought that OU would get found out against Herman and UT. But it appears that Baylor and Iowa State have already taken care of that.
(Iowa State has a guy that is playing both QB and MLB, and he is definitely the MVP of the game. What a performance.)
Edit: Iowa State wins 38-31.

Syracuse is up on Pitt 27-16 in the 4th.
Syracuse lost to MTSU a few weeks back.

Completely agree. Oklahoma will always manage to choke one game a year that eliminates them from a national championship. The way people talk about Stoops and his assistants, you would have thought they actually won multiple national championships, not one 17 years ago.

For NW's sake, I hope so. There was not one single person in the stands, and you could see quite a bit of them. Even at Rice, even in the upper tier or the visitor side, you see a few people. It might as well have been the Atacama desert.
I know someone who went to the game. It was double our biggest crowd of the last 5 years...

I'm going to guess that interview was not live. Coaches have more important things to do 25 minutes before a game kicks off. Many interviews like that are not live, in part to give them time to figure out how long the actual package will be.

Really was 0-0 with Army until the 3:01 mark in the 1st.
Army then scored 28 points in the next 3:04.

Exactly. It's in the second now and UTEP hasn't had these issues.

Well, the Apache helicoptor flyover was fun.

Well I have a picture of a 95% full lower bowl from NW today. When's the last time Rice has actually had 30k in the stadium? Maybe Baylor? Smu in 08 probably.
