The targeting was one of the worse upheld targetings I've ever seen. Austin was at the right height - he wasn't going high. He kept his head up - saw what he was hitting. They are changing the game, but that kind of upheld call would make it something unrecognizable.

If the ball is kicked into the endzone and is not touched by anyone, is it a dead ball or can the kicking team recover it????? maybe if it crosses the fifty yard line it has to be touched by the receiving team before the kicking team can recover it????? Just curiousl

Once it goes 10 yards it's anyone's ball. Ball untouched on to the ground in the end zone is a touchback.

In the Nfl it's still a live ball if it doesnt go out of the end zone. Is it different in college.

That video needs to be submitted to the conference for review. It was an awful call and deserves an explanation from the league

Yeah, that was inexplicable.

The absolute worst example of what is supposed to be "Targeting."

Why isn't the ball carrier penalized for lowering his head (crown of the helmet) and initiating contact with a defender? This is EXACTLY what happened in Austin's call.

Ridiculous.

Yep. The ball carrier had just been hit by another defender. Austin (before the carrier switched levels) was going straight for the numbers. The hit at the legs by the other defender caused the ball carrier to go down to Austin's level.
