We lost significant guys on defense, but oh boy our offense is awesome. We'll hang in there. Navy scores, we score twice.

Think about this... for the last two years our defense with very limited injuries had no clue in stopping the Navy offense.... With the defense that we saw on the field last night do you really believe anything will change when we play Navy next Saturday???

Unfortunately, freaking Navy will grind this defense up and each running play is always 3 to 6 yards on each down. We've seen this play out for two years in a row....

The challenge is we're only going to have xxx number of possessions due to the Nay offense of grit and grind running down field. Will be interesting to see what the game sstrategy will be next Saturday.

My hope has been that we'd have a good chance cuz this will
be the FIRST time we will have had the same coaching staff face them. I think that is a significant difference, but all of the injuries will offset that.

I'd be leaning toward going for it on a lot of 4th downs. Kinda like UConn was doing last night.

When will jj Russell be back from concussion protocol? He was out like a popsicle in the ucla game.

The targeting call was called in the 1st half.He had to sit out the 2nd half of the UCF game and will be able to play in the navy game.

I think that was ike's point. We WILL get back Austin Hall... in answer to the OP's posted question.

At least.... that's what the word on the street is.

He fought off a block and never took a step forward. Runner ran into him.

If that was targeting then I do not know how a player legally tackles a player above the waist.

Hey it was a good call, Austin hit him in the chin strap which is considered part of the helment.

I don't recall him making contact with his chin strap. Regardless, if he did it was because the runner lowered his body. I am for protecting players but that was a crap call.

Given what's been waved off and what is called targeting, I'm confused now about the call.

As far as getting more bodies on defense - I hear that Coach Norvell is haunting the waiver wire hoping to pick up a couple of players that have been cut by another team.

Seriously, why couldn't we advertise for P-5 players who are riding the pines? Our ad could say "Immediate playing time at University of Memphis".

If we start paying them (openly), why not? We could buy a player from Georgia who is 3rd string on their depth chart.
