I can't see any way possible this team scores 42 points in a game this entire year.

I'm predicting a loss to UTEP and it being their only win of the year. They should get a bounce from the coach stepping down. It happened 2 years ago when we were getting ready to play UNT. UNT had been TERRIBLE coming into that game. They fired their coach. They didn't beat us but they made us work like hell for the win. And this Western team is nowhere near the team we had 2 years ago.

I hope I'm as wrong as a preseason Middle fan. We just got to the hotel about an hour ago. It's a long way from home amigo. I think that'll have some effect on our guys. It's pretty damn hot too.

My prediction UTEP 21 Western 17. Western up 14-7 at halftime. Gets outscored 14-3 in the second half. Sad drive for me on Sunday.

I think that on your long drive home you will be whistling a happy tune. I'd love for the Miners to show some life and pull the upset but I really don't see it. I know you don't think your team can score 42 on anyone but your team hasn't played a defense quite like UTEP's.

And their interim was an offensive minded coach that the players loved, not Mike Price...
