Tech @ UAB
Haven't seen too much discussion concerning the game. What are expectations in Birmingham? I know it's homecoming and UAB is doing the jerseys for the children's hospital. I believe it will be heavily attended.
My expectations are for Tech to come out with a win but UABs QB will likely give Tech fits with his legs. Tech has struggled against mobile QBs in the past! Tech will need to establish some type of running game which will be tough with our main deep threat likely out or limited.
But this is CUAB we are talking about and we know how much the conference likes to stick it to Tech in Birmingham

I'm expecting this to be tough. We are pretty banged up and resting some guys ahead of the bye week in hopes of getting them back for USM. Could be a recipe for trouble.

I think our offense will be OK but I'm very concerned about J'Mar. He doesn't get enough credit for all the great things he does. Tech will need to lose this game for us to have a chance.
I predict we'll have 30-35k in attendance.

The one thing J'Mar has is a decent deep ball. Something we haven't had in years. Receivers are iffy, except for Teddy Veal, the Tulane transfer. He is exciting.
Was in Birmingham for the last game we played, but can't make it this year due to a move. Your fans were a class act.
Here's to a great game and no major injuries.

I love the special jersey idea for UAB. That's awesome!
I'm looking for our D to put together a solid, complete game. I think the offense will be ok, but I'm ready to see if the defense can continue to play well as we get going on the bulk of conference play. They've impressed me overall so far.

So far this year, UAB has not played a solid 2 halves of football. That is what it will take to beat Tech. We cannot afford to get behind early, or it may get ugly. If Clark has the defense up to the challenge I like our chances. I view Tech as the cream of C-UAB, but if we can hang in there with a chance at end, maybe the refs can make up for the last game at the hoops tournament.

Hoping for a good game. La Tech is a great example of who we're trying to be. We want to compete for championships every year. I'm hoping you guys bring a good crowd tomorrow. Go blazers!

I expect a good crowd and a good game. Tech cannot afford to overlook anybody, especially UAB.

Last I heard the bad weather should come after the game. Maybe a little rain during the game.

Really impressed with UAB's attendance this year
The best team doesn't always win and I expect UAB will be more up for this one than us so it should be a good game. That said who knows if we are the better team this year - still early in season

I forget what happened. I know Tech didn't win the tourney, and frankly don't even remember if we made it to the finals. Please refresh my memory.

Had a bench clearing brawl with UAB during the regular season and lost the game. Meet them in the tournament and blew them out at home. Then we got smoked by Marshall the next game who shot lights out, they couldn't miss never seen nothing like it before.

Is Bonnette good to go? Man, I wish Henderson had stuck around. Do we have another deep threat? We have been inconsistent on both sides of the ball. Bill Clark(?) is an excellent coach and I would think he brought in some immediate help with JC players. We will have to play a very good game to get a W.

FR Hardy is one to watch at outside WR to replace Bonnette. He had pretty good game last week. Also look for another true freshman Scott on the outside. Both are young but they are our future star WR's.

Nope. Cameron and Driskell were great, but the long ball is what we have been missing. Since we've been in CUSA we've not had a threat like Smith, and I'll stick to that.
