Jon Rothstein visited UC's Basketball practice today
Here is the article:

Mick Cronin | AAC a lock to have 4 teams in 2018 NCAA Tournament

And below is Rothstein's twitter feed so far from today (start at the bottom):

Thanks to @TheRealJeffRuby for another phenomenal meal in Cincinnati. Scallops, crab meat, house salad, veal chop, asparagus. #OTC

Mick Cronin: The American Conference is a lock to have four teams in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. STORY @FanRagSports:

This is a huge season for the AAC. Massive opportunity to gain national respect. Have to get at least four NCAA bids to move the needle.

Cincinnati's season will ultimately come down to PG play. If Cane Broome/Justin Jenifer are efficient then this is a second weekend team.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Nysier Brooks has noticeably improved his offense. Could also emerge as one of college basketball's top shot blockers in next few years.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Gary Clark is a problem.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Early prediction on Cincinnati's starting five: Cane Broome, Jacob Evans, Jarron Cumberland, Gary Clark, Kyle Washington.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Keith Williams should be in position to fill Jarron Cumberland's role off the bench as a freshman. Different players. Williams = slasher.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Hoops Junkies: Remember the name Mamoudou Diarra. 6-10 and LONG. Physically similar to former St. John's F JaKarr Sampson. Talented.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Cincinnati freshman Trevor Moore could wind up as the AAC's next version of Matt Williams by the time he's a junior. Intergalactic range.

Jarron Cumberland. The Future.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
Cane (Broome) is Able.

The big question here at Cincinnati? How many guys will Mick Cronin play. Could be deepest team in last 12 years. My prediction? 11.

Jon Rothstein‏Verified account @JonRothstein 8h8 hours ago
The next guy to fight Floyd Mayweather? It may very well be Cincinnati Associate HC Larry Davis. Guy is 61, but looks like Dolph Lundgren.

Greetings from Cincinnati. Here for practice. Bearcats aiming for their eighth straight NCAA Tournament under Mick Cronin.

OT: He was at XU yesterday ("Look like a legit 2-3 seed."- see twitter feed linked above for rest)

phew. i thought this was one of the prominent inspectors of the current scandal. it wouldn't really surprise me if cincinnati or any team was busted for shenanigans. sorry for that off topic. anyway, i've always been a fan of mick. he's a wisen scrapper who cherishes fondly his hustlin' days. just to set the bar a little higher, this team has the potential to be the culmination of the efforts built upon the backs of john williamson and deonta vaughn. there's a shitload of fans that abandoned the team after huggs left. a shitload more left after we joined the aac. of course these were casual fans or worse, a fan who follows a coach to another program. that's just silly.

how the hell haven't they made their way back? i thought when we were playing extremely well at the tail end of the big east that would have sealed it. and georgetown was good! i was in heaven when we were in the big east, and not sucking. they should come back. a good group of guys we've got. they should come back for the nostalgic swagger of gary clark and the freight train barrelin' down the lane.

not being able to watch all the bearcat games is the only reason i don't miss not having a tv. i only watched one game last year and it was the x game. i saw cumberland, i was shocked at how violent he was. that boy's a ******* cue ball on a break. it wouldn't surprise me if left after this season.

Thanks for posting that timeline. Who is the Matt Williams he's referring to in this tweet?

What percentage of college basketball players play in the NBA?
-- High school senior players who go on to play NCAA men`s basketball: Less than one in 35, or 2.9 percent. -- NCAA senior players drafted by an NBA team: Less than one in 75, or 1.3 percent. -- High school senior players eventually drafted by an NBA team: About three in 10,000, or 0.03 percent.

Great, long-form Mick interview with Greenberg and Dickitch.

He tells a good story about how Kyle befriended guys from the NKU program over the summer and spent a lot of time working out at BB&T arena so he could get used to the rims down there. Love that guy. That was one of my main concerns with playing at a different arena this year. Also said they'll do pregame walk through's on campus and then head down to BB&T for shoot around a couple hours before tipoff.
