ISIS defeated by a combination of Sunnis, Shia, and Kurds with help from the US. ISIS was making far too many enemies which I pointed out more than a year ago. In other words, we saved money and American lives, since it didn't require a full invasion with large numbers of American forces into Iraq as many on the right wanted to do.

And I, for one, wouldn't care if he is/was. Known many good Muslims along the years. Would trust them with my kids, even my own life if needed.

Ipsilon Hapilon (On Americas most wanted terrorist) and Omar Maute were both neutralized by the Philippine army. Today Philippine President Duterte has declared major combat has come to an end in Marawi. Philippine Senator Antonio Sonny Trillanes (a staunch resistor of Duterte and a known person who has attempted to overthrow previous Presidents was reportedly in the USA meeting with the CIA. If you are not familiar with the State departments memo in the Philippines, it was geared toward overthrowing the Duterte Presidency and instilling a person who would benefit American interest. They wanted to use Duterte's opposition the Liberal party (Trillanes is part of) help create this resistance. Many speculate they were behind Maute.
