I don’t know if he has a shot but I’m excited that he is running.

Since I don't vote party lines it's easy for me. He has my support.

Let's hope he breaks the string of elected Gubers that go or deserve to go to prison.

Walt Maddox is 44 years old. Alabama needs a young Governor.

Randall Woodfin is 37. I am so glad Birmingham has a young Mayor, now.

I'll admit I'm a a yellow dog democrat, but I'd vote for Walt if he was running on the Tea Party ticket and it has little to do with him being a Blazer. The way he handled Tuscaloosa post tornado tells me any hurricane or tornado that hits Alabama the state would be in good hands for the recovery. He's always struck me as being honest, a rarity in Alabama politicians.

I believe he is honest. And would go into the job attempting to be honest and forthright. However, very few people go into the quagmire of Alabama state politics and come out clean. There are pretty of examples of people with Blazer ties: Oliver Robinson, Jack Williams.

There is a very large contingent of Tuscaloosa residents who absolutely despise the way the city handled the recovery, specifically, those residents who were directly in the path of the storm

It appears that with the US Senate election between Moore and Jones in December, and the probability of a real choice for governor next election, Alabama may be approaching becoming a real two party state. That would be a first for Alabama, perhaps in its almost 200 year history.
