Albany catches a huge break. They fumble the football at their 10 yard line but it's ruled an incomplete pass. I think it was a fumble and spider fans should be pissed on that call. They review it and let the call stand. He ran a step before fumbling it.

VU's defense is just as good, maybe slightly better than the two we just faced with Maine and UD. Maine's offense is sucking big time today, executing far worse than they did against us. It looks like they weren't ready to play this game. Maybe we shouldn't consider Harysimiak. The guy is given two bye weeks in three weeks and he is 0-2 following them. Maine is looking at 7-4 at best to finish their season. They're on the playoff bubble already.

Albany moves the ball easily into FG range but misses the FG against UR.

Can't be 7-4 with only 10 games.

Maine has to go 7-3 to make the playoffs. And they will be 1-3 in less than an hour. (Now 28-0 VU early 4th). They're not running the table. They're done as far as the playoffs..

Their offense is terrible. The Dukes should shut them out if we can avoid giving them a cheap score (read: offense turning it over or the like).

You're right BDK. I forgot about the lack of an 11 game season. I'm just used to 7-4 as an record option. The Black Bears are done in terms of playoff consideration with this loss.

WM is not a good team. We shouldn't have any issue with them in two weeks on the road, especially if JMU fans make it a home away from home. Many tickets still available.

The Albany/UR game is important because the loser is realistically out of playoff contention this season.

So what's your take on VU BDK? The best defense we've faced so far this season? We've said that for three straight games...

Their offense led by their back up QB executed, but that really didn't look anything like the Maine team we faced. They came out flat on both sides of the ball right out of the gate.

It's hard to gauge because I don't think they saw the Maine team we did. They faced a lessor version.

Maine played like thier Mom's just tucked them in for a long winters nap. and VU defense played like we know they can play. Gonna be a good game next Sat. but HOUSTON will have them Ready!.

Wow WCU just got HOSED in OT by the officials in three instances.

1) WCU QB was being sacked, but rolled on top of a defender and threw the pass to a receiver who ran it at least 5 yards past the LOS. He wasn't down and replay showed that. They called him down anyways. 8 yard "sack".
2) The next play, wide open middle field and the QB keeps it and runs for 7 or so yards. The official gets in his way and probably allows the defender to get an angle on him, costing additional yards.
3) WCU then throws into the endzone. It looks like his receiver caught it. It's ruled an interception instead. Game over. Wait, replay shows the pass hit the ground and the defender rolled on top of it and scooped it from the ground while he was rolling. Call on the field stands. Wofford doesn't have replay capabilities.

This is FCS football right there.

Why not? ESPN was broadcasting the game on ESPN3..

I wondered the exact same thing. Their announcers just said as the INT call stood that they couldn't replay it if they wanted to since "Wofford doesn't offer video replay to officials". Small time as hell.
