Good point, you guys are awful at covering people. I mean like sickening. We got you beat though on being soft and afraid to tackle anyone.

These are on a per-game basis, right?

RE: NCAA Stats: AAC Edition (9/30/17 Update)
Something of note that stands out to me is that East Carolina finished last season ranked last in the AAC in rushing defense and #111 nationally. Their rushing defense is currently 11th in the AAC and #127 nationally. So the coaching staff saw a glaring issue and looks to have done nothing about it during the offseason. That's not good.

Tulane's defensive stats are warped. They've faced a run-heavy SWAC team and two service academies. They haven't seen an "average" running team yet.

The secondary is actually WEAKER than the run defense - and the OU game showed it.

Yards allowed can be a total lie.

I've been impressed with Tulane this season and have been rooting for the Green Wave. In my opinion, you guys will almost certainly go bowling and your team has what it takes to crack the top half of the conference. I'm thinking 6-6 for this season.

One more year and I think Willie will have you guys competing for a division title. He's coached for 21 years and has only had 3 losing seasons, including his first season ever and last year in his first season at Tulane. Your stock is definitely rising.

What's worse is they tried really hard to correct the issue and it's only gotten worse. Brought in a grad transfer and 2 JUCO's on the DL, a JUCO LB, a JUCO corner, and 2 transfer safeties. If we were just running out all freshman and getting abused I'd feel better that at least they will grow from this.

Seems to be a technique issue, then? Maybe those guys are not being coached up correctly.
