I didn't say that. In fact I said plainly - I don't know. But it's pretty obvious based upon current priorities that there's a chance we would NOT have accepted a commit last week.

Instead of chuck and duck, explain. Let's play the "true-false" game:

We have 3 schollies available in the early period?
1 scholly is going to Vanover?
We have 2 schollies left?
1 scholly is reserved for a PG - hopefully Harris or Lomax?
That leaves 1 scholly - probably for a wing?
Woodard is our priority for the wing scholly - ahead of Kennedy?

I'm guessing that the Staff would rather have had Kennedy wait to announce until after Woodard. But it didn't work that way. And since Woodard is very much still our wing priority, they probably wouldn't take Kennedy at that time. Did this matter to Kennedy? Don't know. If we get Woodard, it was an effective strategy. If we don't and we end up with someone with less skills than Kennedy, then it was not.
