SEC Leads Other Conferences In Sports It Sponsors
League Ranked Highest Among Sponsored Sports Nationally

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - In the 20 sponsored sports of the Southeastern Conference, the SEC had a higher national finish than any other conference in the nation.

In a ranking system, using national polls and NCAA Championships finishes, the SEC had 1423.5 points, edging second-place Pac-10 with 1339 points. The Big 12 was third with 916.5 points followed by the Big Ten with 782.5 and the Atlantic Coast with 572.5 points.

No shock from here...

Very glad to see UA doing their role.. if you count cross country into the track mix...our men's and women's track teams alone scored well over 100 pts for the SEC.

This is one of many reasons why no school is gonna leave our conference
