Per Tom Schad: The Buccaneers announce they've waived Memphis product Alan Cross to make room for Doug Martin, who is coming off a four-game suspension.

Alan is a true warrior hope he gets picked up on waivers.

The Bucs just resigned Alan to their practice squad:

The Bucs have re-signed tight end Alan Cross to the practice squad and have released running back Russell Hansbrough. Cross was waived from the 53-man roster Monday to make room for Doug Martin.

Justin Fuente has already told him that whenever he concludes his pro career there will be a place for him on his staff. Here's hoping that whoever is coaching at Memphis when Alan leaves the pros is aware of him and tries to get him back at Memphis.

Skins waiting, but don't be surprised, they r hurting at receivers since they lost Jackson and Pete Waiter, Jackson to T.B. and Waiter to San Fran.
Plus their tight ends stay hurt. Cross would fit in well he's a great blocker and good hands. Cousins needs all the blocking help he can get, I can't understand why they haven't signed DeAngelo although I'm told a money thing.
My source says the problem with the skins is a 2 word answer, Bruce Allen. I'm sure Tampa fans would agree, when he was there they were terrible, now they r rolling. Flip it to the skins on a slide since the Dude arrived.Word on the street is he passed on Jake, which will bite him in the ass. The skins still could wind up with DeLo and maybe Cross
