Five games into the season, Which C-USA teams do you think go bowling?

I think it is easier to say who definitely isn't going bowling. I can not imagine Charlotte or UTEP going bowling (although, obviously, they are not mathematically eliminated)

Bowling will be La. Tech, UTSA, Marshall, Southern Miss, FAU and UNT....

I feel good about Tech's chances and I also think UNT and UTSA are getting it going too

Western still has UTEP,UNCC, FIU which are about as close to sure wins as a team can get. So you have Western losing at home to FAU and Middle and at ODU,Vandy, Marshall

If this offense improves and I mean coach call the game at all it will be hard to lose 5 more games in this conference. I could actually see Western winning CUSA again before not winning 6.

If that's the case and basketball gets hit I know a AD that should be looking for a job.

UTSA, LaTech, Marshall, WKU, UNT, USM, and either ODU/FAU would be my picks AS OF NOW.

We never play well vs. FAU besides last season, @ODU could be a struggle...Marshall is due to beat us especially at their place, Vandy will kill us....So yes its possible...Hell we could lose this week if we continue to play as bad as we have played....Only gimee wins I see rest of the schedule is vs. Char., and FIU, everything other than that is a game we can lose.....Did you see what Ball St. did this past week? I think we are lot worse than we think and La. Tech may not be as good as something considering we should have beat them....

In order of probability and the most likely wins to get to 6:

Pretty much rock solid:

LA Tech (UAB, UTEP, Rice)
UTSA (Rice, UTEP, UAB)
Marshall (Charlotte, FIU, ODU)
UNT (ODU, UTEP, Rice)
USM (UTEP, UAB, Rice, Charlotte)
WKU (UTEP, Charlotte, ODU, FIU)

Iffy:

FIU (ODU, UMass, MTSU without Stockstill)
MTSU (UTEP, Charlotte, ODU, FIU)
UAB (Charlotte, UTEP, Rice, MTSU)
FAU (ODU, FIU, Charlotte, UNT )


Bold Prediction - FIU and UAB get eligible, one of them gets left at home.

If ODU beats FAU this week, I think the Monarchs go bowling. (FAU, FIU, Rice, Char) If not FAU probably goes. Marshall, La Tech, UTSA, USM, WKU are pretty much locks. UNT has a good chance.

We're at two wins now. We've got Charlotte, @FIU & Rice which I think we'll win. That leaves FAU, @ Marshall, WKU, @ UNT & @ MT to get one win. I think we will get to 6 but we'll see.

Dang UAB ain't getting any love. Didn't they come closer than USM did against UNT?

An important distinction needs to be made. There is always a chance that a team is bowl-eligible yet ends up not going to a bowl game. We, FAU fans, know that all to well. During our first season in the C-USA, we went 6-6 but were not invited to a bowl.

UAB gets to six wins and someone is taking them. I have UAB at six and hoping for more.

Tongue in cheek aside, I'm not counting any chickens anymore. One game at a time.

I know C-USA lost the Heart of Dallas Bowl and this season it is a match-up between the Big10 and Big12. But right now, it does not look like the Big12 will be able to fill their spot. Texas, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor, and Iowa State all look like they have a good chance to finish the season under .500. And as of right now, Oklahoma seems on track to make the playoff.

Do we get that spot back if the Big12 can't fill it?

UAB is definitely good enough to make a bowl game. I really think that coach they have is solid.
