Perhaps there are some lessons to learn here. : http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/col...olumn.html

I think it's a destination for Fitzgerald, but I think the article is correct in alluding to the pull of Duke for Collins, given that he played for them and was a long-time assistant coach for them.
Note the reference to a $4oo million facility investment

UH hires Ken Briles away from FAU. He will be the offensive coordinator.

They also hire former Baylor assistant Randy Clements, to be offensive line coach.

Stay classy, coogs.

Kiffin just signed an extension a few weeks ago. I haven't heard anything from the FAU camp, but I imagine Briles wanted the promotion and/or raise (he's assistant HC at UH, which wasn't in his title at FAU, and UH definitely has more to spend than FAU). There's also the chance that somebody at FAU compliance, administration, or boosters got wind of Briles's Baylor history or inclination to go back down that road and wanted him out.

With Fertitta’s purchase of the Rockets I am not sure UH has a lot more to spend than FAU.
