RE: C-USA Championship Race (10/1/2017)
I'm trying to understand your logic.

Since Western Kentucky is 0-1 in CUSA play this year --and some of their CUSA East partners are undefeated in CUSA to date (e.g., FAU is 1-0 and FIU is 2-0)-- doesn't it stand to reason that WKU needs help too?

I believe its the same with Rice (1-1 in CUSA) in the west. Don't the Owls need LA Tech, UTSA & UNT to lose at least one CUSA game in order to be a CUSA title contender? To me, that means they NEED HELP.

Again, maybe just don't understand your logic.

No. Your logic is flawed. If Western wins out they win the east and CUSA championship. So there's no help needed

No, because if WKU were to win out then they'd hand everyone in the division a loss and WKU would own all tiebreakers. A single cross-division loss doesn't knock you from controlling your own destiny within the division.

I see. I got it now. My apologies for the misunderstanding.

C-USA Championship Race (10/1/2017)
Fun fact: this is the first time in three years that the east has played a full round-Robin schedule.

So that does make it simpler now to "control your destiny" with that single cross-division loss.

Right. I think everybody in CUSA played two cross division games last year (e.g., LA Tech played MTSU, and of course WKU). But, also last year not every team played every team in their division. As just one example, ODU didn't play MTSU last year, even though both teams were in CUSA east. IMO, these scheduling flaws created a huge imbalance. Should be much more balanced this year.

Well they weren't scheduling flaws. The West was short a team without UAB so the East had to make up the difference to round out your schedules. Some of us had to play 3 West teams so that you guys could have the same number of conference games, which left a deficit in east vs east games. I think 2 east teams played 3 west crossovers and did not play all the east teams. Made up for UAB not filling crossover games and not being in the west schedule. This year we all play 6 division, 2 crossover, and 4 OOC.

Yes. That's what you call a "scheduling flaw". 03-lmfao

BTW, the rest of us in the west didn't do it, so don't blame us. 07-coffee3 UAB could have ended up in the east just as easy as they ended up in the west. Regardless, it ended up being a scheduling flaw, because not everyone in CUSA played equal strengths of schedule in conference.

Fair enough. Saying scheduling flaw just makes it sound like an anomaly that just happened or an accident rather than making the best out of what we had to work with.
