NC State Freshman Guard Ruled Ineligible
apparently this ruling came out just after the UNC ruling. Apparently he took 1 class at Ohio State, thus is considered a transfer.

You seriously can't make this shyte up:

Clearly NC State doesn't know how to cheat as effectively as UNC. Perhaps it should be discussed at the next ACC meeting.

What does this have to do with the UNC ruling? The only things this case can be compared with are other rulings on waivers from transfer rules. No facts are in dispute.

You can make a case for changing the rule, or you can challenge whether the rule has been applied consistently in this case. The rest is faux outrage.

Just terrible optics.

School that makes fake classes mainly for athletes, NOTHING

Kid that took a real class early in an effort to get ahead of the game, DENIED

While you can legally justify both rulings, it goes to show you how terrible and out of touch the NCAA rules really are.

This was the punishment for UNC crimes, we need to make example of NCSU. Long been an issue of the double standard that has irked Pack fans of how pack gets treated by the NCAA verse UNC who would never do anything wrong. You should see the others that got denied after injuries and the NCAA refused after to let them come immediately ruling in favor of other schools.

Personally, I think that all kids should be free to transfer without sitting out in the event the coach is fired or leaves, but if those aren't the current rules NC State has no real recourse here.

Agreed. That being said, you would think somebody at the NCAA would have had enough sense to realize the timing of this announcement shows terminal tone deafness.

If the rules were enforced consistent, I would agree but sadly that is not the case. Your right, NCSU really has no recourse.

This guy was actually committed to Miami at one point, he seemed to have a sketchy history regarding academics if I recall. Regardless its timing is impeccable...

Wow! Someone sure pissed off old Roy and his NCAA buddies. What a kick in the nads for the Pack. I am sure you are proud to share a conference with your neighbors in Chapel Hill today. The NCAA is a complete joke.
