We've got a sure fire 7'6 first rounder playing his final season, we get 6 new extremely talented transfers who had to sit last year (including Dawkins' son), and we bring back most of a roster that made the NIT Final 4.

You wanna bet Tacko isn't a first rounder? I'm looking to move to Florida and need a sure fire way to finance it.

You're saying he won't be?

I think the first round now-a-days is almost exclusively one and dones.

That said, since everyone loves Tacko news... this hit my twitter feed from UCF, Tacko may be a bit more imposing this year over last:

A 9th place AAC finish last year (by ECU) resulted in a 6-12 conference record and 15-18 overall.

The Tiger freshmen were in diapers the last season the Tigers experienced an overall losing season. It was the 1999-00 season and we finished 15-16 overall and 7-9 in C-USA.

RE: Ok Shockers...
Sorry to get off topic here, but i have a question for the Shockers who may know the inner workings of the program.

Now the city of Wichita will be having the NCAA first and second rounds this year (2018) at the IBA if i'm correct and I assume WSU would normally host. But that negates WSU from playing those games in Wichita. Is there a solution that could put you guys in Wichita to play in that venue? Have you approached another school in the area to take over the hosting duties if you get in? And with the talent you have, you should.

Sorry to get off topic, but the AAC should give you every chance to advance. Didn't KU end up in KC a couple of years ago?

Even if you aren't the "host" there are still limits about where you can play. Number of games played in the Arena, etc. Not sure exactly what that threshold is though.

The message from the athletic department is that we're going to host, period. Something about not wanting to come off flippant to the NCAA in our first hosting.

The logic doesn't resonate with me, but no one's asking.

Yeah, even if it could be done, it won't. WSU will continue to host and will not be able to play in Wichita. Given past tournaments they probably wouldn't put us in Wichita anyway. Look at the history, we will end up somewhere not as favorable regardless of seeding lol

I think they're a bit over-hyped. I mean how do you get swept by last year's UCONN team? Even Lebo won a game against us.

They are beatable...its just how hard you have to work to do it. Its like playing the 2012 USF Bulls. Rock fight..slow....painful game

KU plays in KC almost every year. If not, it's Omaha or St. Louis. They have a standing request with the NCAA to place us in Juneau.
