Did Oakland Raider O-Line Throw Game/Punish Derek Carr For Standing?
Oakland's OL is all black, and Carr was sacked just 1/per game last season. He was sacked 4 times last week alone, including back to back times on the opening series. Not good if true. This could be the death knell for a league already in collapse.

Quote:A new report from The Armstrong and Getty Radio Show has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world after it was claimed that members of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders may have purposefully allowed their star quarterback to get sacked multiple times after he refused to kneel during the National Anthem.

If true, this would essentially mean that an NFL football game was illegally thrown over anger that one of the team's star white players did not believe that kneeling during the nation's anthem was the correct way to protest supposed racial injustice in America.

When there is an upset there is always a conspiracy theory.

The outlet in San Jose is claiming to have a quote from one of the OL (one of the guards) about how Carr can stand alone on the field if he’s going to stand during the anthem.

Bill O’Reilly says if true, the players involved could be indicted and go to prison. Wow!

I doubt it's true. Just doesn't ring true to me.

But yes, if it were true, there could be indictments for fixing games. Remember the Black Sox?

I don’t know, man. We’ve got a quote saying he can stand alone and a 300% increase in sacks. You may just not want to believe it’s true, but I think it warrants a full investigation.

If I were the coach, I would buddy up with the reporter and find out the name. If he doesn't give the name, then he gets blackballed.

Anybody like that on the team would be cut instantly.

The more I watch the NFL, the more I think it's all rigged. Wouldn't surprise me to find out players are throwing games. I think they are paid so much because they do.

Marshawn Lynch must have stood too. How else can you explain his 18 yards rushing total in the game after averaging over 60 yards a game in the first two games?

At least you can't speculate the OL is racist, since more than half the sacks they allowed were against white defensive players for the Redskins.

The more I think about it, I bet you it was the OL throwing the game in protest of the racist nickname of the Washington Redskins.

I hope the players didn't throw the game. It could be that the Redskins actually don't suck this season. Yes, I know that's a stretch.

I watched the NHL playoffs last year. No protests or politics and even the Russians, Swedes and Canadiens stood for the anthem(s). Found a new outlet to waste time.

There was a Scottish or Irish player futbol player who got dragged for not singing God Save the Queen. He did not kneel or protest, just did not sing.

I'd like to see the plays/sacks before voicing an opinion. If someone is coming up the middle totally untouched on a regular basis...

Carr was sacked four times, was hit six times, and threw two picks.
