1987 National Championship Story
Some teams in the SBC are mentioned. We’re having our 30 year reunion against CCU this weekend. I am friends with a lot of these guys. They’re a good bunch of guys. It’s a good read.

RE: 1987 National Championship Story
Quote:At the time, Georgia Southern was running the option with Tracy Ham.

Tracy finished up his eligibility in 86. Our game in 87 was the first career start of a very young Raymond Gross, who would go on to lead GS to titles in 89 and 90.

This might not be a great place to ask this, but I have a pretty substantial collection of full GS games on YouTube going all the way back to 1985. If there are any ULM or other SBC members with old tapes of your team's games against GS lying around, I'd love to get them uploaded.

Don't remind me, you beat my Portland St Vikings in that championship game.
