Our offense had play makers last year and so far this year that our coaches for some reason refused to utilize. We didn't use our best QB last year until the third game (then he got hurt) and we didn't use our best RB at all (except for a couple games). We didn't use our best QB this year until the "starter'' was injured and our best QB started games 2 and 3 (both wins). We didn't use our best RB again this year until game 3 (16 carries, 105 yards). We hope to have our offense in gear Saturday night but who knows what our illustrious coach has up his sleeve...

Huff did have the most carries against SDSU last year - though it was only 12 carries. He only averaged 3.8 ypc that game. Graham had 8 carries for 11 yards though.

Just a little concerned that the quantam leap improvement needed in offense might be too much to ask for to be able to beat SDSU. Even if better coaching decisions are made for this game, execution with an offense that has not been allowed to run yet this year might be asking too much, especially against this defense.

p.s. Ill be in more than in man crush mode, Ill petition for his extension if he can beat sdsu. Honestly though, I won't be mad if NIU loses to SDSU, I just get frustrated when you lose these games and you have all your bullets left in your gun like the OSU and BC games of recent past. Sometimes you are just outmanned, and outtalented which is likely going to be the case Saturday night. All I ask as a fan from a coach is to go down unloading all your bullets.

I watched the entire seat/af game and became very optimistic for this matchup. I think both of our lines are better and will control the game and our dbs have the potential of having another fun day. I think Huff will have a breakout game and if we limit our turnovers we will own this day. I'll go with NIU 34-7. (And I am usually a NIU pessimist)

I sort of remember the Bears beating the Steelers last weekend. Things always seem to normalize. The Huskies are actually playing the 19th ranked team in the country. Normal comes back:
