The big difference is that once you get into the program some schools make you actually do school work and some don't. W&M, Georgetown, and others actually make kids take real classes and get real grades. UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, others do not.

Even that argument is very misleading. Athletes (scholarship or not) get first choice of classes before regular students can enroll. This is so classes can fit in with their practice/game schedule. I guarantee you that these classes filled up before the general population could enroll.
