It's limited to basketball but I would think this sort of thing could have some sort of impact on the other athletic programs. But then again, it's no secret Auburn is one of the most "penalized" programs in NCAA history.

It is indeed no secret. Same for Miami. And because of it, the NCAA is aware of it. And, the NCAA will take the correct course of action. That's right. You know it. I know it. It's coming. The result of these investigations and arrests will lead the NCAA to place South Central New Hampshire Transgender College's Equestrian team on 5 years probation.

Another person that doesn't realize our size. We have nearly the same enrollment as Louisville and more undergrads than them.

Personally, I don't worry about how people view our size. I always like it when I can whip out a couple figures and they respond with, "Wow. That's so much bigger than I thought."

Talk radio this morning was mentioning how AAU coaches being on college staffs is a huge red flag, and all I could think of was David Kontaxis and his time with DC Assault.

And his last few months with Lamont Evans.

Yahoo had an article yesterday saying that if Louisville doesn't get the death penalty, then the NCAA is worthless.

I don't necessarily disagree, and I usually love Pat Forde. And for sure no one knows more about hoops and college athletics in the Commonwealth of Kentucky than he does, but he is a UK guy to the core so all I could think was Yahoo should've gotten someone else to write that piece.

Yep, that was a quick progression.

Pitino fired in all but an official capacity (unpaid admin leave). A little interesting that the AD is on paid admin leave. Thought for sure he'd be given his walking papers too.

Also interesting is that Tom Jurich's daughter is an Adidas employee (brand manager). Jurich being UofL's (likely former) AD.

RE: Interesting Basketball News (Not JMU-related)
I would guess most other D1 sports have similar issues. I've witnessed it as a parent who lived in the crazy world of travel ball seeing unethical actions of companies and coaches who maintain too close of connections with college coaches. Most are very proud of it and don't mind gloating about their connections and what they could do for your son or daughter. This FBI probe may be opening up a big ole can of worms.

I'm more familiar with WBB so my first thought is Ohio State where Kevin McGuff hired Mark Mitchell to get his daughter Kelsey and then had to also take the other daughter Chelsey on the team. But same deal.
