UM UCF By The Numbers 2.0
Wonder why the line is so close based on these raw numbers. Weird part is even in areas where Tigers rate in top 5 and even number 2 in the nation they are not top in the AAC. Namely kick off returns second behind Houston. Houston Navy USF and UCF all lead the nation in some statistical category. Other than stats where several teams are tied due to rarity of stats ie: blocked kicks allowed

Biggest advantage we have is one we do not want to take part in too many times Kick off return vs kick off return defense.

I agree---based on the numbers---we should get killed.

112th in sacks tells a big story about our defense

Especially since the stats suggest that their QB has not been sacked once this year..

Maybe if we hit him a few times and hurry him a few times he will make mistakes.

We're going to have to make plays on special teams, primarily kick return (Assuming Pollard even gets a chance to return any kickoffs) if we want to come out as the victors. This is a very difficult matchup, I believe UCF is the best team in the AAC, with us, Houston, Navy and USF not far behind. With that in mind, we still have enough talent on offense to put up some points. We just need some of the younger guys on defense to step up!

If UCF isn't a fraud then it could be a long day at the office for the Tigers.........

Believe this team can be a monster team WHEN they want to be. We had one game where we had to battle a monsoon and a second when we were sleep walking most of the game. So two out of our three games we have not played up to our potential.

When we do then we can beat any team on our schedule. Potential could have been lowered some with injuries, but still think there is enough talent to get the job done. Remember we have been playing without our normal starting RB all season. And are playing freshmen and sophomores in a number of key defensive positions.

I think we are young enough not to realize we should have trouble with this game.

The Maryland game is a bit of a smokescreen.

Maryland was rolling Texas when the Terps 1st string qb suffered a season ending injury. The 2nd string true frosh played well enough for Maryland to hold on.

During the 1st quarter of the Maryland-UCF game, the 2nd string, true frosh starter tore an ACL.

So the rest of the game Maryland was rolling with their 3rd string qb.
