This shouldn't be a concern for WSU...from what you guys have said, your second team could win the AAC so you'll be fine. No excuses.

This ******* sucks. Here's your silver lining in all this: if we win the league you guys can not shut up about how you weren't fully healthy until mid January and how it impacted your season, and if you do win the league, you guys can not shut up about how you told us so.

This really sucks.

The Shockers play extremely hard in practice, they even go hard in summer scrimmages. The intensity of Shocker practice contributes to our success once the bright lights come on. This methodology has its risks but we've been fairly lucky so far, perhaps the odds are starting to play out.

There are unlimited quotes from Shocker players saying how much they love real games because they're so much easier than practice. You see how the Play Angry kids play on television. That's considered relaxing to them...

I've watched a Gregg Marshall practice when I wasn't supposed to be watching one. It's pretty f'd up. You better bring your man pants is all I'm saying.

They do have a much more favorable schedule than Wichita State or Cincinnati. I think they will contend, if only because of there schedule. It sucks for us this year but it's how the league wants it I suppose.

I watched a 6-9 235lb player get fouled so hard in a summer scrimmage that he was horizontal in the air and landed that way on the ground. He limped over to where I was standing holding his ribs and not breathing very well. I later asked an assistant coach how he gets the boys to play so hard unsupervised. I remarked they were gonna kill each other. He gave a wry smile, a little laugh, and smiled like a proud father. Lots of red meat on the Shocker training table.

Nothing about our schedule "sucks for us". We've been begging for a schedule upgrade for a generation.
