Anyone going to either place? I have quite a day already lined up (Cubs game, early evening work event) so I figured I could keep the good times rolling.

I always had fun at Beer, 20-50 loud NIU alumni getting Wrigleyville drunk. Haven't been there in 2 years since we moved to CA though.

Trophy room is supposed to be really nice and is owned by an NIU alumn.

I live in Chicago and am looking to watch the game at one of these bars because I don't have CBSSN. I've been to Beer before. It's a solid get together, especially if you want to watch it with fellow Huskie fans. Dumpy, wrigleyville bar tho-if that matters to you. Trophy room is nicer, not sure how it is on game days.

I mean, I've been to BEER plenty, both for NIU games and general shenanigans, so I'm down with the atmosphere there.

I went to Trophy Room for the Nebraska with 4 others... about 30 ish I'd say were there.... many were Huskie fans... hard to tell overall bar atmosphere though for the 11 am kick.... their A/C was on the fritz...

Went to BEER last year for Wyoming and seemed to be about 20 ish huskie fans... everyone else was just wasted playing ping pong lol..

I'd say Trophy if you actually want to watch the game...BEER if you want to watch but also get wasted

The awesome bartender that worked at BEER (Ryan?) the last couple seasons is no longer working there, fyi.

No. There was a bartender at BEER who got the NIU watch parties started. He was fired last fall, so I was told back in July when I stopped in while in Wrigleyville. All the NIU stuff (flag outside, some stuff inside) was gone.

BEER still has one of the NIU flags inside and oh yeah there's still also the NI logo ping pong table.
