Middle Tennessee @ FAU
Status of MT starters out remains the same including Brent and Richie. Neither are expected to play. So, it looks like we'll make the trip south without the QB, best receiver, best offensive linemen and a couple of others on the offense. Down to third and fourth string running back (and the 4th stringer had never played running back until Bowling Green). Both went for over 100 yards though against a bad BGSU defense.

Pending any changes this week, the MT offense will only have five of the 11 original starters from week one.

Vegas not touching this one yet until they know more. I'm expecting it to be a close game.

How are y'all looking Owls?

I do not care what MT's offense looks like. It seems just about anyone in the FBS can score on us. Did you see what Buffalo's backup QB did to us?

I am more interested to know about MT's defense. We do sport a very potent rushing attack. We may be able to score a pile of points against the MTSU and the last year's experience suggests that we may HAVE to.

Minnesota is the only team that has really run effectively on us.

Shutting down Ralph Webb felt like an accomplishment, a lone bright spot from the Vandy game, at the time, but he really hasn't gotten it goimg this year.

Best defense we've had since 2009. I would not have believed it without seeing it, but it really is difficult to relay how good Scott Shafer is as DC and what an upgrade we got from Nix. There is no more sitting back waiting for the offense to come to the defense. It's pretty much attack mode the whole game.

MT needs to win the turnover battle on Saturday.

We cannot have 3 to zero like we did against Bowling Green State.

Did you like the "state" TiBL ? 04-cheers

I guess the sun keeps rising but there comes a time when you just want to kick someone in the crotch, especially at Gannet.

BTW, that's what has been weird about all the pressure the defense has applied. Where are the turnovers? If they start turning people over this D is going to be nasty.

Howell out best power back was out vs UB and Aeez our best LB was out as well, but I expect both to play this week. Aeez was dressed for UB.
We have had the same QB battle going on two years now witht he same two guys and do not have much of a passing game. Our D is improved from last year, still struggles vs the run at times.

We should take care of business though sine you guy are so banged up.

You better hope you do, you made a lot of bluster this offseason about 7-8 wins this year and "dominating" this conference shortly there after.

A loss on Saturday, a 1-4 start, combined with games left @ODU, @WKU and @LT, would put even getting to .500 in serious doubt.

Brent was out last year, too, in the FAU game, and we hung a double "7"

Damn it. I had just about blocked that memory out, and you had to go bringing it back up.

"rumbles around kitchen for more Canadian Whiskey"

Seriously I dont know what to expect. Navy, Wisconsin, BCU were what I had expected. Buffalo has me stymied. Not cause we lost, but because we switched QB. Parr hadnt been THAT bad. Im so tired of rotating QB's. Seems like weve done that every year since Rusty Smith left.

That game is the only one in my memory where we scored 56 and still lost by three TDs. I had to make sure I was on the NCAA football page and not b-ball (I was on vacation and away from my desk for that).

Florida Atlantic will keep it close only to come up short by blowing it in epic fashion. I know .. really going out on a limb there ...

And I'll still stupidly watch... if it's on tv and I have the obscure network (fill me in )

Too many injuries for us to overcome. This is FAU's year.

Doesn't feel like it.

It's like we're cursed. As far as MTSU is concerned, every year we find yet another way to lose. My favorite was two years ago, when we seemingly tied the score late in the fourth quarter just to have the TD taken off the board for taunting! When MTSU is not good enough to do it to us, we do it to ourselves.

I think it's on Stadium, but not sure where you would pick that up. I do know it's going to be on MyTV30 in Nashville.

That new Stadium thing. Stream it on their site or Twitter I guess. The quality looks like it's been pretty good, but still - like you - I don't even know how to find these games unless I google it.

Does that do replays? Cuz I may not be home Saturday night ( it's my birthday)

I usually dvr or go back to espn 3 for games

This conference decided getting pennies on obscure networks was better
