I'm no HUD defender by any means... but the whole NCAA thing that the Cajuns were getting punished for -- whatever happened to that? I've not heard anything about it in what seems like years. Has that hampered Hud in any way?

Penalties are over after this year. When you're making $1M per year as a G5 mid-major coach you're *ss should be on the hot seat rather quickly with a steady diet of program bad news and on the field performance issues. JMO

Hud was cruising along to a P5 job not too long ago. What happened? Did you guys have a lot of assistant's leave or has recruiting been a bust?

I would think more that latter, but it's tough to tell as the coaching (prep and on field) has been questionable as well.

Vacated 2 bowl wins and essentially 15 something games. Pretty severe off campus recruiting restrictions and 15 scholarships list over 3 years.

I think that is all of them.

Since South just fired their OC, it's very clear that Joey Jones is the one on the hottest seat.

His game with us could save him. I don't necessarily think it breaks him tho.

I think there's a very real possibility all 3 will be looking.

Now he's a half step from getting his walking papers. He would be the one that might land another G5 job, the other 2, probably not.

I have never believed Hud was a good coach, still don't. Guess I was the only one that called it some years ago.

I agree that a win would help more than a loss would hurt. However, a Troy win alone will not save him if the rest of the season sucks, just as a loss won't cost him if the rest of the season is a success.

So far, it's not looking promising for any of them.

RE: Who's seat is hotter
I would think that Everett Withers would have to get strong consideration on this list. He has lost 13 straight games to FBS schools by an average margin of 28 points. At most schools he would be very much on the hot seat.
